Medical Intensifying Screens. Blue Emitting.

The intensifying screens RENEX with blue emitting are produced using both traditional tungstates and rare-earth X-ray luminophors of new generation and designed for medical application. The unique manufacturing equipment, used for the production of the screens, allows to produce high-quality products in the accordance with the international standards. The lavsan film, used as base, and protective film on the basis of polyurethane lacquers allow to increase no-failure operation lresource up to five years without any restrictions on the amount of images. The inspection equipment is used during the production of screens to make an objective appraisal of quality of complete products
Since the screens RENEX are produced from virtually all known X-ray luminophors, consumers have a wide variety of screens that differ in effectiveness, resolution ratio, luminescence spectrum and the most favorable range of voltages on a tube.
The advanced technologies for production of luminophors used by our enterprise ensure:
• low grain level;
• high sharpness of images;
• vanishingly small persistence;
• absence of nonluminous impurities.
The used materials ensure high-strength luminophor layer with «silky» surface and allow to obtain excellent contact between the screen and emulsion layer of a radiographic film. Besides that the RENEX screens contain antistatic additives that significantly reduce the amount of discharges on radiograms.

Nomenclature and recommended ranges of application

Type RENEX EU-W1 - medical intensifying tungstate screens with high-resolution ratio (speed 50) allow to obtain the image, which is identical to non-screen filming. They are recommended for radiography of peripheral parts of skeleton and maxillofacial parts.

Type RENEX EU-W2 - medical medium intensifying screens (speed 150), combining a good resolution and an adequate intensification. Because of high radiation load this type is not recommended to use for radiography of lumbodorsal spinal parts and gastrointestinal tract.

Type RENEX EU-WY3 - medical high intensifying tungstate yttrium screens (speed 200) are used for universal application in combination with medium-speed films.

Type RENEX EU-Y3 - medical high intensifying yttrium screens (speed 200) are recommended for children’s radiology as well as, when high-contrast images should be obtained. The screens are not recommended to use at voltages on a tube more than 80 kV.

Type RENEX EU-Y4 - medical high intensifying yttrium screens (speed 400) are recommended for equipping ward and mobile X-ray units. They allow to obtain satisfactory images of virtually all objects with the exception of peripheral parts of skeleton and lungs. The screens are not recommended to use at voltages on a tube more than 80 kV.
